El Charro will be providing free samples of their delicious vegetarian tamales on Friday, October 6th from 11am to 1pm at the Patio of the Pima County Historic Courthouse. These tamales are made with festive red and green pepper rajas, Mexican queso blanco, and corn masa, and they are sure to tantalize your taste buds.

The tamales are the creation and with the recipe of Chef Carlotta Flores, who is a fifth-generation Tucsonan and a self-proclaimed “tamale expert.” She has been making tamales for over 30 years, and her recipes have been passed down through her family for generations.

This event is a great opportunity to sample some of the best tamales in Tucson while also celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. So come on down and enjoy a taste of Mexico!
